The Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (IB ACIO) exam is conducted by the Intelligence Bureau of India to recruit eligible candidates for the post of ACIO. Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade II/ Executive Exam Syllabus Details.

Intelligence Bureau ACIO Syllabus is of Two Phases
1. Written Examination and
2. Interview.
I. Written Examination: Written Examination will consist of Tier I Exam for 100 marks and Tier II Exam for 50 marks. This is consisting of 2 papers
a. Tier-I Exam: 100 Objective type MCQs, divided into 5 parts containing 20 questions of 1 mark each on:
- Quantitative Aptitude: This section evaluates candidates’ mathematical and numerical ability. Topics may include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, etc.
- Logical/Analytical Ability: This section assesses candidates’ logical and analytical reasoning skills. It may include topics such as analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, etc.
- English Language: This section evaluates candidates’ proficiency in the English language. Topics may include comprehension passages, grammar, vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion, error detection, etc.
- General Studies: This section may include questions on topics such as Indian history, Indian polity, Indian economy, Indian geography, environmental science, general science, etc.
- Basic Computer Knowledge: Candidates may also be tested on their basic knowledge of computers, including topics such as computer fundamentals, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, email, etc.

b. Tier-II Exam: Descriptive type paper of 50 marks: Essay (30 marks) & English comprehension & précis writing (20 marks).
II. Interview: Interview will consist of 100 marks.

Age Limit | Candidates age must Not below 18 years and not above 27 years |
Age Relaxation: | SC/ ST – Years Other Backward Classes (OBC) – 3 Years PwBD (Gen/ EWS) – 0 Years PwBD (SC/ ST) – 5 Years PwBD (OBC) – 3 Years Ex Serviceman – Upper age limit is relaxable up to 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service. Departmental Candidates Upper age limit is relaxable up to 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service. Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried. General candidates – Relaxable up to 35 years SC/ST – Relaxable up to 40 years Meritorious sportspersons specified in Para 1 (a) of DoP&AR O.M. No. 14015/1/76-Estt.(D), dtd 4.8.1980. Maximum 5 years Ex-servicemen Age relaxation as per the Govt. instructions in this regard issued by the Central Government from time to time. |
